The Queers Surf Goddess

Surf Goddess by The Queers is a must have for the punk rock record collection. Their sound pretty much goes in two distinct directions and this leans towards the better of the two. Most of the time you'll hear the classic "One-Two-Fuck You", or sometimes they'll go into Beach Boys influenced bubblegum punk. On this particular single I think they blend the two sounds better than on any other release (which there are many).
I personally spun this record more than almost any other in my collection. It was a staple for the everyday hangout and a "go-to" for parties. Released in 1994 on Lookout Records, I believe it was their first single for that label. If you like the
song then check out the album "Don't Back Down" which came out a few years later and I think you'll be quite pleased. Besides the great title track, this single also features a great cover of "Mirage", originally done by Tommy James and the Shondells. From The Queers, please enjoy...
