Dwarves "Are Young And Good Looking"

This was the Dwarves coming "back from the dead".

A couple of years earlier the band had faked their guitarist death claiming he had been stabbed in a bar in Philadelphia. Sub Pop Featured Single Part Three

Today's featured single came out in February 0f 1990. It was the 16th single in the first series of Sub Pop's famous Singles Club. This band is a personal favorite of mine and it always struck me as odd that Sub Pop put out so many of their records. This band is much more obnoxious and vile than almost any that has come before or since. Their sound at this time was lo-fi abrasive hardcore punk. Most of their songs came at you in angry minute long blasts, and this felt like something totally different than most of the other Sub Pop bands of the era. I recommend all of this band's records from this point on and will probably feature more in the future.

This was their first single for Sub Pop and the cover depicts the singer Blag in typical pants down fashion. Pressed on virgin white vinyl and limited to 1,500 copies, From the infamous Dwarves, please enjoy...
